You can change the life of a youth waiting in the foster care system. All adults who can provide a safe, stable and a loving home are encouraged to apply to get involved.
CFP provides foster care services in both MA and RI for children and adolescents in the custody of the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families (DCF) and the Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF).

How we serve the community
Massachusetts Programs
- Intensive Foster Care is a specialized foster care program designed to serve youth ages 0-20 years old in various foster home settings.
- Residential Programs include multiple community-based residential programs serving youth ages 12-22 depending on their needs. Programs include group homes, an emergency shelter, independent living, and a unique residential program for serving youth from the Department of Youth Services and diverting them from juvenile detention.
- Independent Living program serves youth 18–22 years old who have shown progress in community-based residential programs, were previously homelessness, or in a foster home.
- Family Networks staff work in the Department of Children and Families Lead Area offices for Hyde Park and the Harbor area to coordinate services for over a thousand youth and families annually.
Rhode Island Programs
- Home-based Services that work with the whole family utilizing various evidence based treatment models.
- Family Care Community Partnership is a prevention program designed to help those families most in need before they are faced with State intervention.
- Families for Children Foster Care is a specialized foster care program designed to serve youth ages 0-20 years old in various foster home settings.
- Residential Programs include multiple community-based residential programs serving youth ages 12-22 depending on their needs. Programs include group homes, emergency shelter and independent living.
- Youth Development Services Program is an exciting program to provide transition-age youth with additional support to help develop life skills as they are transitioning out of state care.
