Lead Area Agency Educational Coordinator, Hyde Park office

Communities for People is in need of an individual to ensure that all assigned DCF (Department of Social Services) clients receive all appropriate education related services in the Hyde ParkArea office.  This includes:  attending TEAM meetings, timely communication with various school departments, ensuring quarterly communication with school departments and special education department, develop formal affiliation agreements to ensure immediate access to appropriate educational services and maintain educational records one each youth. Other duties include ensuring youth have upd to date educational records, and receive appropriate credits as well as reviewing their progress and school attendance.     The Education Coordinator will also facilitate Boston Region Educational forums and prepare data and reports to the Department of Children and Families as needed.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field (Masters preferred), driver’s license and use of a vehicle. Work experience with DCF youth in residential treatment and 766 Special Education Programs. Proficiency in report writing and computer skills. Knowledge of DCF practices and policies. Ability to faciliate multi-disciplined educational TEAM meetings and knowledge of local educational systems and special education regulations.EOE

Awake Overnight Direct Care Counselor-LIFE Program

Communities for People is seeking direct-care counselors to support the residents of our DYS Transitional Living Program for adolescent and young adult males. The appropriate candidate will have previous experience working directly with adolescents and/or children preferably in a residential setting, be able to set limits and to form appropriate relationships with clients. Will also need to be an effective role model, be able to work in a culturally competent manner with a diverse group of clients and staff. This a full-time (40 hour week) awake overnight position.

Qualifications: BA/BS in human services or related field preferred. Must have a current valid Driver's license; Must complete Medication Administration Program (MAP) certification within 3 months of hire date.EOE

Direct Care Counselor :

Residential Counselors sought to work with at risk adolescents (16-21yrs old) in our community based program.   Counselors will be responsible in implementing individualized service plans which will maximize a youth’s self-sufficiency. Our entry-level position will grant you exposure to the State’s child welfare system and develop your skills for a rewarding career. Full time and  awake overnight positions currently available.  Relief positions currently available with schedules including second, third and weekend shifts. Bachelor’s preferred. MAP certification preferred, otherwise CFP will offer certification because it is required. Minimum one year experience in Human Service field.  Excellent benefits and training.EOE

RHODE ISLAND (PROVIDENCE, RI)

Direct Care Counselors

Direct Care Counselors sought to work with at-risk and chronically mentally-ill adolescent females and males in a community-based residential setting. Full-time positions available (40-2nd shift, 3rd shift and weekends, full time and part-time awake overnights). Our entry- level position will grant you exposure to the State's child welfare system and develop your skills for a rewarding career. One year minimum experience working directly with adolescents and/or children or BA/BS in social services or related field with no direct work experience. Candidate must have excellent writing skills and the ability to work in a team environment. Valid Driver's license and ability to transport required

Clinician/Tx Coordinator

We are seeking a full-time (40 hours) clinician to oversee the treatment planning and case management needs for adolescents in a community based residentail program. Some of the clinical duties will include but are not limited to: Ensuring implementation of family centered practice; Development and implementation of Individual treatment plans; facilitates case conferences and discharge conferences for clients; Oversight of coordinating psychiatric, psychological, medical and dental services; Overseeing timely notification of referral dispositions; Assisting in the training and professional development of program staff; Actively participating in staff meeting and group supervision; Providing clinical support to program staff; Crisis management; and providing on-call support. Salary$36-40K. Valid drivers license and transportation required.

Case Manager

Seeking a full time (40 hour) employee to work with at-risk and chronically mentally ill adolescents in a residential program. This position is instrumental in coordinating all required services, developing and overseeing implementation of treatment planning, maintaining all collateral contacts, and ensuring that individual site records are maintained to licensing and accreditation standards. Applicant must have interpersonal skills, familiarity with the child welfare system and willingness to particiapte in an on-call rotation.

Qualifications: BA/BS in Social Work or related field. Knowledge of community resources and service planning. Excellent writing skills and time management. Proficient in Microsoft word. Valid Driver's License and vehicle.

Experience: Minimum one year experience in a child welfare/human service environment. Prefer direct expereince working with youth and families.

Salary $30-$33k

Per Diem Mental Health Professional (LICSW or LMHC) 

CFP's Counseling & Wellness program is seeking licensed clinicians (LICSW or LMHC) to facilitate group therapy, provide assessments and individual psychotherapy to diverse populations. Positions are available in our outpatient office setting treating children, adolescents and adults. Evening hour appointments availability is necessary. Clinician- Enhanced Family Support Services

Intensive home-based support and preservation program seeks dedicated Masters level professional to support families in distress. Provide broad range of therapeutic interventions and supports to parents, caretakers, and youth. Evening as well as some weekend required. BOSTON ASAP (BOSTON, MA)

 Boston ASAP Mental Health Clinic Counselor/ Therapist

This position requires a LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker), or LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LADC (Licensed Alcohol Drug Counselor), or Master’s Level Professional. Additional licensing or specializations a plus. Counselors/Therapists directly report to and are supervised by the Outpatient Clinical Director.

Boston ASAP Mental Health Counselor is responsible for the following:

  1. Conduct psychosocial assessments
  2. Present cases for discussion at team meetings
  3. Provide Individual, Couples, or family therapy
  4. Provide group therapy and psycho-educational group
  5. Participate in case Reviews
  6. Attend all staff meetings, clinical supervision and in-service training sessions
  7. Maintain clinical records
  8. Provide progress notes for clients
  9. Refer and consult with Outpatient Clinical Director about any client who may need a different level of care, is inappropriate for current level of care requires change or revision in treatment or service plan, or transfer to another agency

Experience: LHMC, LICSW, LCSW, LADC, Master’s Level Professional or other proper clinical licensing and at least 2 years clinical experience.EOE
