Family Support Partner

REZIME TRAVAY:

The Family Support Partner (FSP) works as part of the FCCP team. The FSP is responsible for partnering with families involved with the assigned CFP region. The role of the FSP is to empower families toward self-efficacy. EOE.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Regular, consistent attendance and punctuality; ability to work a flexible schedule in order to accommodate the schedules of families; includes some evening and weekend times and may occasionally exceed.
  • Familiarity with the principles and process of Wraparound and providing strength-based treatment and family-based services.
  • Knowledge of different systems including child welfare, mental health, juvenile justice, schools, health, community resources and ability to engage them.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and engages and supports a diverse population of families.
  • Knowledge of behavioral disorders of client population, family work, family dynamics, and adult learning techniques.
  • Ability to be flexible and work in both an office setting and the client’s homes.
  • Actively participates and contributes as a member of the Family Planning Team.
  • Facilitates effective child/parent relationships by coaching, education, support and encouraging proper coping skills.
  • Ensures that clients and families receive quality services, which comply with the standards set by CFP, DCYF, licensing agencies and other relevant organizations.
  • Helps carry out crisis stabilization when necessary.
  • Follows policies including Confidentiality and Privacy, HIPAA, Professional Code of Ethics and Dress Code in the delivery of services.
  • Completes required documentation, forms and reports in a professional and timely manner.
  • Attends, participates and completes all required CFP and DCYF trainings.

  • Obtain authorization or refusal of authorization to communicate and coordinate with all service providers involved with client, including Primary Care Physicians.
  • Maintain case records to highest standards, including all Intake documentation, Releases of Information, Initial and Ongoing Treatment Plans, and Progress Notes.
  • Individual/group supervision offered weekly, with the expectation of attendance once a month
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide crisis intervention as needed
  • Provide billing information to Office Manager

Like regular foster parents, the most important qualifications are room in your heart and home to welcome children in need, but professional foster parents have the capacity for up to 4 youth at a time, often siblings who we would ideally like to keep under one roof when they are removed from their biological home or a previous placement. One adult in the home must be available as a full-time foster parent in order to qualify.

You can earn a tax-free stipend of $1,400+ per week while providing safety, estabilite, and love right in your own home. Professional foster parents also receive:
