C. Service Environment

• Ensures programs operate in accordance with all DCF licensing, Area Lead Service Coordinator, and accreditation standards
• Maintains and modifies program model as needed to improve care or address changes in clients or available resources with vice president’s approval.
• Stays current regarding evolving best practices and treatment models to enhance program service delivery.
• Promotes an environment of open communication with all stakeholders, including but not limited to: employees, families, clients, collaterals, and outside stakeholders

D. Administrative

• Function as a member of the Residential administrative team, attending to program development, all CQI activities, and risk management plans.
• Work closely with Area Office Service Coordinators/DYS to facilitate all intakes and discharges
• Manage all referrals and placements, including gathering history and assessing needs of youth referred
• To ensure programs operate in accordance with CFP’s licensing and accreditation standards
• Develops and maintains residential on-call rotation schedule for after-hours crisis support to programs. Participates directly in rotation as needed. Establishes and maintains relevant clinical on-call procedures

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To cover all assigned shifts in foster home (nontraditional hours).
• To provide a safe physical/emotional environment.

REZIME TRAVAY:

The program director is responsible for the overall day-to-day operation of the Youth Development Services program. The YDS program is a collaboration with DCYF to help ensure that all youth, ages 16+ who experience the foster care system receive a strong array of support services and enhancement opportunities. This is a great opportunity for a child welfare professional committed to ensuring youth leave the foster care system as capable young adults ready to succeed in their transition to adulthood. The program director supervises all members of the program team. EOE.

KALIFIKASYON:

Master’s Degree in relevant filed. Seasoned human services professionals with at least 3 years of experience working with similar client populations in human service or treatment settings and 2 years in management. Masters level education may be waived to Bachelor level in certain cases at the discretion of the agency with the approval of funding sources.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Direct the day-day performance of the YDS program
• Ensure youth ages 16+ receive high-quality life skills and vocational assessments
• Ensure youth ages 16+ are offered opportunities for vocational training and financial literacy instruction through public sector and community partners
• Directs and recruits for Youth Advisory board
• Ensures youth voice in program operations and development
• Oversees Mentoring program
• Oversees matched savings and Teen Grant programs
• Builds partnerships with community organizations
• Collaborates with DCYF leadership to coordinate supports for youth and young adults
• Chairs partnership meetings
• Develops enhancement opportunities and events, including statewide events.
• Provides consistent supervision to program staff
• Builds staff morale, rewarding staff for effective quality improvement initiatives, quality work, and ideas that enhance the program’s and agency’s mission
• Develops quality assurance measures and tracks performance
• Stays current regarding evolving best practice and treatment models.
• Markets the program and handles public relations with diplomacy and prudence
• Maintains all license, accreditation, client and program records
• Assures compliance with funding source reporting requirements
• Available for after hours consultation as needed
